# Getting started

Welcome to the Car API. With BCD APIs, you have the ability to create a white-label rental car booking application for your business travelers.

## Credentials

### From our engineering team

We provide you with a set of test credentials until you're ready to go live. You'll need to obtain these from our engineering team to use throughout your integration phase:

* Your organization's **API key**
* Your organization's **secret key**
* Your organization's **entity ID**
* An **Environment URL**

### Created by your application

You'll need to create logic within your application to send these in every request:

* A **nonce** cryptographic identifier
* A **timestamp** identifier
* A **request signature**

For more info, view our [Authentication](/car/guides/introduction/authentication) guide, or skip ahead to the Postman setup instructions below.

## TLS

In accordance with the latest PCI compliance and security standards, we only support TLS 1.2 protocol connections.

## Postman setup

1. Download the [Postman](https://www.postman.com/downloads/) application.
2. Open Postman and import our Postman Collection.
3. Import our Environment JSON file and modify with your Environment URL (`ASB_API_URL`), API key (`ASB_API_KEY`), and secret key (`ASB_API_SECRET`).

If you're new to Postman, view the [Postman documentation](https://learning.postman.com/docs/getting-started/introduction/) for details on how to configure a collection.

## Ready to go "live"?

Contact our engineering team when you're ready to go live with your production application. We like to certify all customer applications for go-live with a walk-through of your test application flow to review the request/response in each step.
